Precision Process Temperature Control System – QualiTCS™ PPT Series

Advanced Process Temperature Control System (-25°C to 200°C)

QualiTCS™ PPT Series is a precision process temperature control system designed for reactors, jacketed vessels, heat exchangers, and pilot-scale process skids requiring accurate heating and cooling from -25°C to 200°C.

The system uses a closed-loop circulation design to transfer thermal energy through a heat-transfer fluid loop. Advanced PID temperature regulation with multi-point feedback helps maintain stable setpoints during changing process conditions, improving temperature uniformity and response performance.

A sealed fluid circulation system helps minimize oil vapor exposure during high-temperature operation and reduces moisture absorption during low-temperature applications. The integrated platform combines a high-performance circulation pump, refrigeration unit, electric heating module, and intelligent control system for reliable process temperature management.

QualiTCS™ PPT Series delivers rapid heating and cooling transitions while maintaining operational safety through built-in protection features, including overload protection, high-pressure monitoring, over-temperature alarms, low-fluid-level detection, and sensor error alerts.

Temperature monitoring options include fluid temperature, outlet temperature, and external probe feedback, allowing flexible configuration for different process requirements. Available options include a SUS 304 stainless steel housing and explosion-proof versions for specialized industrial environments.

Applications of QualiTCS™ PPT Series Precision Process Temperature Control System

QualiTCS™ PPT Series provides accurate heating and cooling control for laboratory, pilot-scale, and industrial processes requiring stable thermal management from -25°C to 200°C. The system supports a wide range of applications, including reaction systems, microchannel reactors, heat exchangers, process skids, and thermal testing equipment.

1. Reaction Still Temperature Control

Reaction still systems are commonly used in petroleum, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, pharmaceutical, food processing, and research applications. Typical processes include hydrolysis, neutralization, crystallization, distillation, evaporation, hydrogenation, polymerization, condensation, storage, and heated mixing.

QualiTCS™ PPT Series provides precise circulating temperature control to improve heating and cooling efficiency while maintaining stable reaction conditions. Real-time temperature monitoring and feedback control help maintain process consistency throughout the complete reaction cycle.

2. Microchannel Reactor Temperature Management

Microchannel reactors are used for various chemical processes, including rapid exothermic reactions, liquid-phase reactions, gas–liquid reactions, and absorption processes. Applications may include nitration, sulfonation, oxidation, peroxidation, alkylation, amination, photochemical reactions, and gasification-related processes.

With a broad operating temperature range and intelligent PID control, QualiTCS™ PPT Series helps maintain accurate thermal conditions during process development and fine chemical synthesis. The system supports stable operation using a single heat-transfer fluid, helping simplify thermal management across different reaction stages.

Precision Process Temperature Control System

Additional Applications of QualiTCS™ PPT Series

Reactor Jacket Temperature Control

QualiTCS™ PPT Series maintains consistent reactor jacket temperatures for synthesis, polymerization, crystallization, and neutralization processes. The optional external temperature sensor enables direct monitoring and control based on reactor contents when jacket temperature feedback alone cannot provide sufficient accuracy.

Heat Exchanger and Process Skid Thermal Management

The system delivers stable temperature-controlled fluid circulation for plate and tubular heat exchangers, pilot systems, and production support skids. Consistent inlet temperature control helps improve batch-to-batch repeatability and supports reliable scale-up evaluation.

Material and Component Thermal Testing

QualiTCS™ PPT Series supports controlled heating, cooling cycles, and temperature holding tests for materials and components requiring precise thermal conditions. The closed-loop circulation design enables extended operation with reduced thermal-fluid handling requirements.

Low-Temperature Process Cooling

For low-temperature applications, the system provides controlled cooling while helping reduce moisture entry and frosting concerns within the thermal circuit. The sealed circulation pathway supports reliable performance during extended low-temperature operation.

Key Applications:

  • Chemical and pharmaceutical reaction systems

  • Jacketed reactors and vessels

  • Microchannel reactor temperature control

  • Heat exchanger testing and process skids

  • Pilot-scale process development

  • Material thermal cycling and validation

  • Low-temperature laboratory and industrial processes

Theory and Working Principle

Precision Process Temperature Control System

QualiTCS™ PPT Series regulates process temperature by circulating a heat-transfer fluid through an external loop while continuously adjusting heating and cooling output according to real-time process conditions.

An advanced PID temperature controller uses PT100 sensor feedback from multiple monitoring points, including local fluid temperature, outlet temperature, and optional external probe input, to maintain accurate setpoint control and improve thermal stability.

The closed-loop circulation design helps minimize heat-transfer fluid loss during high-temperature operation and reduces moisture exposure during low-temperature processes. A precision circulation pump maintains consistent flow and pressure, ensuring efficient heat transfer through reactor jackets, heat exchangers, and connected process equipment.
