Overview: QualiOPC™ 60 Particle Counter Oil Sensor for US Facilities

When you need to keep track of solid grit floating inside critical production machinery across US manufacturing facilities, the QualiOPC™ 60 functions as a dedicated optical hardware module for liquid contamination checks. It works through a light-blocking technique using a semiconductor laser beam to size and tally unwanted debris particles running from 1 μm up to 500 μm.

You can place this compact analytical core right inside portable inspection packages, permanent line installations, or laboratory fluid stations.

Built for proactive upkeep programs on American plant floors, the sensor provides dependable readings with a relative standard deviation (RSD) below 2%. You can set detection liquid speeds anywhere from 5 to 60 mL/min, with a standard run rate of 25 mL/min, while handling fluid sample temperatures between 0°C and 80°C.

This setup gives your operations group direct clarity on lubricant cleanliness before mechanical friction causes sudden equipment shutdowns.

Compliance & Industry Standards

The QualiOPC™ 60 fits smoothly into standard quality documentation protocols across North American operations:

  • SAE AS4059: Aligns directly with aerospace and heavy industrial cleanliness grading codes utilized throughout United States aerospace factories and assembly plants.
  • ISO 11171: Adheres to verified calibration routines for automated liquid particle counter hardware, identifying small particles down to 4 μm(c) / 4 μm.
  • ISO 4406: Converts particulate measurements into familiar three-part cleanliness ratings for monitoring contamination inside hydraulic loops and lubricant sumps.
  • ISO 4402: Serves as a primary reference calibration baseline for optical counting with sensitivity reaching 1 μm.
  • NAS 1638 & ROCT 17216: Translates raw data into established aerospace reporting brackets (NAS 1638) along with secondary international cleanliness frameworks (ROCT 17216) for overseas equipment components.

Key Features

  • Broad Particle Size Span (1 μm to 500 μm): Lets your technicians spot microscopic abrasive silt as well as large wear flakes inside a single optical pathway.
  • Semiconductor Laser Light-Blocking Technology: Maintains an uninterrupted optical beam for steady, reliable particle identification across every test routine.
  • Granular Channel Resolution: Delivers channel spacing intervals down to 0.1 µm based on overall system setup, helping you observe exact shifts in debris distribution.
  • Tight Measurement Repeatability (RSD < 2%): Produces uniform results across repeated samples, which simplifies verification audits for US quality teams.
  • High Coincidence Limit (12,000 to 40,000 particles/mL): Prevents signal clutter and skipped counts when you run darker or heavily loaded oil samples.
  • Adjustable Fluid Flow Options: Supports liquid detection and flushing speeds between 5 and 60 mL/min (with a factory preset of 25 mL/min), giving you great flexibility when hooking into a dedicated hydraulic oil particle counter station or an inline oil particle counter loop.
  • Sturdy Cylindrical Frame: Measures 214 mm in length with a 52 mm head diameter, 46 mm tail diameter, and a highest point of 115 mm. Movable mounting brackets with M4 screws allow you to bolt the hardware securely into your custom test rigs or factory enclosures.

Product Applications & Operating Environments

Industrial Applications

  • Hydraulic Oil Particle Counter Installations: Track abrasive metal shavings and circulating sand inside manufacturing presses, construction rigs, and hydraulic drive circuits to schedule planned servicing before breakdowns occur.
  • Lubricating Oil Quality Control: Check particle levels in industrial speed reducers, rotating turbine bearings, and factory gearboxes to spot metal fatigue early.
  • Transformer Insulating Fluid Inspections: Check dielectric fluid cleanliness inside electrical substations and utility grid transmission gear.
  • Heavy Engine and Aviation Fuel Checks: Verify fuel clarity for jet engines, locomotive engines, and diesel generators to prevent clogging tight fuel injectors.
  • Factory Line Fluid Verification: Mount the sensor inside bypass piping setups or field-service carts for instant oil cleanliness checks.

Operating Environments & Integration

The sensor features a solid physical build that handles fluid samples running from 0°C to 80°C. With its compact footprint and screw-down mounting, you can integrate the module directly into mobile diagnostic cases used by traveling field service crews or inside stationary plant enclosures.

Because official weather sealing ratings (such as IP codes) and outdoor temperature boundaries are not specified in the factory documentation, you should house the sensor within sheltered workshop stations, sealed equipment cabinets, or protective mobile instrument boxes during routine job-site testing across American industrial facilities.
