Oil Particle Counter – QualiOPC™ 1000

QualiOPC™ 1000 is a desktop Oil Particle Counter designed for accurate fluid cleanliness evaluation across a wide range of oils and compatible liquids. It measures the size and concentration of insoluble solid particles to support contamination assessment, predictive maintenance planning, and fluid condition monitoring.

Built around the light-blocking measurement principle, the system performs contamination analysis for hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, shale oil, transformer oil, turbine oil, gear oil, engine oil, aviation kerosene, water-based hydraulic fluids, organic liquids, and polymer solutions. The platform delivers fast and consistent particle analysis to help laboratories maintain reliable testing workflows.

This desktop Oil Particle Counter integrates a semiconductor laser with a broad particle-size detection range, enabling detailed cleanliness evaluation across different fluid conditions. Multiple reporting standards, Windows-based instrument control, and integrated data management features support efficient operation and streamlined reporting.

Designed for demanding environments across military, aerospace, power generation, and transportation sectors, QualiOPC™ 1000 supports fluid cleanliness programs where equipment performance and operational reliability are closely linked to contamination control.

The system combines a high-capacity particle counting sensor with a controlled sampling mechanism to generate repeatable measurement results across an extended particle range. An industrial computer with Windows supports instrument operation, calculations, internal database storage, printer connectivity, and USB-based data export for convenient record management.

Oil Particle Counter - QualiOPC™ 1000 Applications

Oil Particle Counter

Hydraulic and Lubricating Oil Monitoring: QualiOPC™ 1000 supports contamination monitoring across hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, turbine oil, gear oil, engine oil, and other service fluids. By measuring particle concentration and distribution, it helps maintenance teams identify contamination trends earlier and make informed decisions regarding fluid condition and equipment performance.

Transformer and Insulating Oil Analysis: QualiOPC™ 1000 is also suitable for transformer and insulating oil cleanliness evaluation. Particle monitoring in these fluids supports improved reliability of electrical systems by helping identify contamination that may influence insulation performance and operating stability.

Aerospace and Defense Fluid Cleanliness: The system supports fluid cleanliness programs in aerospace and defense applications where hydraulic fluids, lubricants, and fuel-related systems require controlled contamination levels to maintain operational reliability and extend service intervals.

Power and Transportation Industries: QualiOPC™ 1000 is suitable for power generation and transportation environments where fluid cleanliness is part of ongoing maintenance practices. Typical applications include turbine lubrication systems, rail and marine operations, and heavy-duty hydraulic and lubrication circuits requiring routine contamination tracking.

Organic Liquids and Polymer Solutions: In addition to conventional oil analysis, QualiOPC™ 1000 can measure insoluble particles in organic liquids and polymer solutions. This broadens application flexibility for laboratories and industrial environments handling specialty fluids and process-related liquid testing.

Oil Particle Counter

Standards Compliance

QualiOPC™ 1000 supports recognized international cleanliness and particle analysis standards to help laboratories maintain consistent testing methods and standardized reporting across different industries and fluid applications.

Oil Particle Counter

Theory and Method

QualiOPC™ 1000 operates using the light-blocking method, also known as the light obscuration principle, for measuring particle contamination in liquids. During analysis, particles suspended within the sample pass through a detection zone and partially interrupt a focused laser beam. The system captures these signal variations and converts them into particle size and particle count data as the sample moves through the measurement path.

This measurement principle is widely recognized for liquid particle analysis because it provides direct evaluation of contamination levels in oils and other compatible fluids. By analyzing the interaction between particles and the laser source, the instrument generates consistent cleanliness data across a broad particle range.

QualiOPC™ 1000 combines this optical detection process with controlled sample handling, regulated flow conditions, and defined sample volumes to support stable and repeatable measurements. Integrated calibration options and support for recognized cleanliness classification standards allow results to be generated in reporting formats that align with laboratory procedures, maintenance programs, and industry-specific monitoring requirements.
