Theory and Method

The QualiVMM™ HI IWS-200 uses a horizontal telecentric optical system to capture the side profile of precision components. A parallel backlight positioned behind the workpiece creates a high-contrast silhouette, which is recorded by the 20 MP camera in a single image. The telecentric lens keeps the optical rays parallel to the measurement axis, maintaining consistent magnification across the φ100 mm field of view and 12 mm depth of field. This minimizes perspective-related dimensional errors and helps maintain consistent measurement accuracy throughout the inspection area.

The Geomea measurement software uses sub-pixel edge detection to identify component boundaries with precision beyond the camera's individual pixel resolution. An automatic deburring process filters unwanted noise and outlier points before least-squares regression is applied to the refined edge data. This processing sequence supports measurement accuracy of up to ±2.0 μm and repeatability of ±0.5 μm, including applications involving components with minor surface variations. Return Policy:

Qualitest USA may accept return of purchased merchandise within North America for refund or credit under the following conditions -

  • There may be an additional restocking fee charged to the transaction if items are already shipped to customer.
  • Goods must be returned to Qualitest USA within 5 days of the date of the receipt of the purchased goods.
  • All freight, duties, customs, and other related shipping charges for the returned merchandise are borne by the purchaser. Shipments made freight collect will be refused.
  • Merchandise must be returned properly packaged in brand new, salable condition, along with original packaging and all documentation, accessories and certificates.
  • Purchaser has confirmed return authorization directly with Qualitest.
  • Merchandise is regular catalog item. Special order items can not be returned.
  • All returned merchandise is subject to inspection by Qualitest.
