Benchtop Thermal Camera Analyzer – QualiTCA™ 25B
The QualiTCA™ 25B Benchtop Thermal Camera Analyzer is designed for electronics repair, PCB troubleshooting, thermal testing, and materials analysis. It combines the diagnostic capabilities of the QualiTCA™ 25A with advanced thermal data recording for heat sinks, heating elements, circuit boards, and material samples. Its 256×192 thermal sensor measures temperatures from -10°C to 550°C (14°F to 1022°F), supporting both electronics diagnostics and elevated-temperature testing.
A multi-axis camera bracket with four adjustment knobs provides precise positioning without moving the main stand. The adjustable focal range supports a minimum observation distance of 20 mm and a recommended maximum distance of 1000 mm, allowing detailed component-level inspection as well as broader PCB and assembly analysis. Two boards can be connected on the base to create a larger testing surface for bigger assemblies.
The QualiTCA™ 25B also features an external USB temperature sensor for displaying ambient temperature alongside thermal measurements. Full-screen temperature video streaming with an 80 ms data recording interval provides smooth thermal playback and detailed temperature analysis during testing.
The included Professional Edition thermal analysis software supports Windows 10 and Windows 7 systems with an Intel i3 processor and at least 4 GB of memory. Automatic and manual internet update options help keep the software current. Adjustable emissivity from 0.1 to 1.0 allows temperature measurements to be calibrated for different surface materials and finishes.
Sampling rates can be configured from 1 to 20 frames per second, allowing users to balance thermal recording quality, playback smoothness, and file size. Optional accessories such as an atomizer test fixture, automatic heating test bench, and experiment box provide additional options for specialized thermal experiments and laboratory testing.
The QualiTCA™ 25B thermal camera analyzer is a versatile benchtop solution for PCB repair, electronic component inspection, heat transfer studies, thermal characterization, and materials testing.

Theory and Method
Materials and electronic components above absolute zero emit infrared radiation related to their surface temperature. The QualiTCA™ 25B Benchtop Thermal Camera Analyzer detects this infrared energy with a 256×192 microbolometer array, converting thermal radiation into temperature information for detailed analysis of circuit boards, components, materials, and heating elements.
Different surfaces emit infrared energy at different rates, which can affect temperature measurement accuracy. The QualiTCA™ 25B provides an adjustable emissivity range of 0.1 to 1.0, allowing users to configure the measurement according to the surface being tested. This correction helps produce more reliable temperature readings, particularly when testing materials with lower emissivity than a reference blackbody.
The manually focused lens supports an observation distance from 20 mm to a recommended maximum of 1000 mm. This range allows detailed inspection of individual electronic components at close distances while also supporting broader thermal views of circuit boards and complete assemblies. Two boards can be joined on the base to increase the available working area for larger circuit boards or thermal testing setups without repositioning the camera.
The thermal camera analyzer supports configurable sampling rates from 1 to 20 frames per second, allowing users to balance recording file size with smooth playback during heating and cooling tests. This capability is useful for tracking temperature changes over time and identifying short-duration thermal events.
Advanced analysis tools include point, line, polygon, and full-field temperature curves, along with isotherm visualization and Excel data export. These functions allow users to progress from a live thermal image to a measurable temperature data set for analysis, comparison, documentation, and technical reporting without requiring a separate data logger.
